What do Gladioli, Daisies, Drakes and Expr3ss! have in common?

drakeStaffDrakes Supermarkets, which employs 5,700 people and operates 57 IGA supermarkets throughout Australia recently celebrated its 40th Anniversary.

From humble beginnings as a single-store owner operator, Roger Drake has built a significant challenger to the might of Coles and Woolworths.

And Expr3ss! celebrates an anniversary with Drakes this year too.  Not quite the rubies and gladioli associated with a 40th but the “strength, solidity and warmth” of wood and the freshness and vitality of daisies marking our 5th anniversary with Drakes, helping them solve staff selection.

The respected trade magazine Retail World recently recognised the contribution Expr3ss! makes to Drakes continued success in a feature article, “Software takes the stress out of recruitment for Drakes Supermarkets”.

Roger Drake was kind enough to say:rogerDrake     “One key to success is finding the right staff. The manager-employee relationship in our 57 stores is critical, and identifying the right people to build successful teams is essential. Each of the talented and motivated people who share our values of customer service are an asset to our business.”

And Human Resources Advisor, Felicity Brevi commented,

“We have found with Expr3ss! we are more accurately able to identify applicants who display the behaviours of our existing best- performing staff.

ExprfelicityBDrakes3ss! has helped us become more efficient in our human resources function and reduce the cost of finding people. We’re able to do our work better and not have to worry when we need to look for someone to fill an important role.

Expr3ss!  makes it easier to align individual and team goals with company goals.”

Expr3ss! helped Drakes celebrate with a unique gift of a massive “Chupa Chups” dispenser, especially produced to mark its 40th year.

Wonder how we’ll be celebrating our 40th?
